Shad Moarif, (Ed.M, Harvard University), has 25 years of experience in remedial education and has developed the CLSO (Concepts-Language-Symbols-Operations) approach for teaching Math to students with math-learning difficulties. He has extensive experience working with children disadvantaged by language-processing problems, has conducted IQ/ psycho-educational assessments of such children and initiated remedial programs based on the Harvard Literacy Laboratory method. He has also done extensive parent counseling and teacher-training, having worked with parents and teachers in Asia, UK, USA, Switzerland, France and Canada.

Shad has conducted extensive Math teacher-training workshops in Canada, Switzerland, France, USA, and Singapore. He has spoken at various conferences and seminars as a specialist in Math education for underachievers. He worked as Program Director for Knowledge Architecture, a Vancouver based firm that specialized in delivering Information Technology applications to High schools over the internet. Shad also served as a Principal of a private School in Vancouver and as Vice-President of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), BC.
He has been teaching Math while developing his CLSO-Math program over the past 13 years. The program has undergone Pilot testing in a local school in Vancouver (Cunningham Elementary School) for over two years, and has produced extreme success among students disadvantaged with Learning Difficulties.

Today Shad works as an educational consultant in Vancouver, Canada where he continues to develop his CLSO-Math program.
